How It Works
Setup & Numbering
Students sit in a large circle or rows. Number off 1-2-1-2. The "1s" stay seated, the "2s" will move throughout the activity.
Question Distribution
Provide questions for discussion - end-of-chapter reviews, worksheets, or course-specific questions relevant to your subject.
Pair Discussion
Each 1-2 pair discusses and determines the best answer to the first question. Encourage thorough discussion and note-taking.
Movement & Rotation
The "2s" move clockwise (or back in rows) to pair with the next "1" student. Each new pair tackles the next question.
Complete the Circle
Continue until "2s" return to their original seats, having answered all questions with different partners.
Review & Clarify
Address any remaining questions through class discussion or independent study as needed.
Student Movement Pattern

Activity Extensions
🔄 Re-Circle Option
Students can complete a second round focusing only on questions they were unsure about, starting from their original positions and discussing unclear concepts with new partners.
🎯 Targeted Review
During re-circle, students may work on different questions simultaneously, requiring careful time management and awareness from the instructor.
📚 Independent Study
For remaining concerns, students can investigate answers independently or engage in whole-class discussions facilitated by the instructor.
