Thesis Submission Procedures
Included on this page are the procedures followed by students and library staff to carry out the Graduate Thesis Guidelines. For additional information about the Thesis Binding Policy, contact the Clayton State University School of Graduate Studies.
The binding and printing of thesis documents are no longer required. As a result, students will need to create a free Institutional Repository account to submit their document. Also, other types of research are acceptable for submission and students are able to follow the same instructions as the thesis submission. As such, students may upload documents in one of the following formats as appropriate: Word, PowerPoint, sound or movie, or graphic.
Create an Account
- Before you can submit documents to the repository you will need to create an account.
- Open a browser window and navigate to the Clayton State University Digital Repository.
- Once you are at the repository site click on "Log In" (top right) and select "Register".
- Provide your Clayton State University email address when prompted.
- A registration link will be sent to your Clayton State email address. Follow the link and complete the registration process.
- Once your document is ready to publish, send an email to csdrepository@clayton.edu and let us know you need to submit.
- We will email you with further instructions.
- Students should complete all department requirements and obtain a signed “Certificate of Approval”. A single copy of the “Certificate of Approval” should be included with the thesis.
- Thesis copies may be printed at the Laker Print Shop or any off-campus printing service at the expense of each student who desires printed copies.
- Thesis processing usually takes approximately a day. However, please take into consideration processing may take longer. Once processed into the institutional repository, documents will be immediately accessible for public reviewing. Students should receive an email confirmation when their document has been processed.
