Clayton State to Welcome Laker Families for Family and Parent Weekend

(September 14, 2026) - Clayton State University will welcome parents and families to campus Oct. 9–10 for Family and Parent Weekend 2026, a two-day experience designed to connect families with the university community while giving them an opportunity to experience campus alongside their students. Hosted by the Division of Student Affairs, this year’s weekend will feature a variety of activities that highlight the student experience at Clayton State.

Families will have opportunities to meet university leaders, learn about campus resources, connect with other Laker families and, most importantly, spend time with their students. Events throughout the weekend will include a Welcome Reception, Family Game Night, Family Cookout and Resource Fair, campus tours, Desserts with Deans, sporting events and other opportunities to experience life at Clayton State.

Family involvement is an important part of the college experience. As students become more independent and navigate the academic, social and personal responsibilities of college, support from parents and family members can continue to make a difference.

Registration for Family and Parent Weekend is $50 for the first family member and $25 for each additional family member. Registration includes access to weekend activities and a Laker Nation swag bag.
