College of Business celebrates MBA graduates with inaugural pinning ceremony
(May 7, 2019) - Graduates of the Master of Business Administration program celebrated their accomplishments before commencement during the College of Business’s inaugural pinning ceremony.
“To receive a graduate degree is really an admirable accomplishment,” said Dr. Hynes, president of Clayton State University. “This starting line that you’ve begun now, is a starting line where you have some advantages.”
MBA students were each given a pin and took an oath signifying their commitment to the practice of sound business and leadership as they go out to the workforce.
Mitch Johnson, regional vice-president and independent representative for insurance and financial services company Primerica, was invited to share inspiring words with students as they advance in their careers.
“Take responsibility for yourself and make things happen,” Johnson said. “We have the power of choice.”
Johnson, a CSU Foundation member, challenged students to set goals and stand out in the talent pool to achieve success.
“You’re going to be a contributing factor to your company,” he said. “Invest in your future.”
