Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Studies Learning Outcomes

Students who complete the degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies Program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage in perspective-taking.
  • Integrate knowledge and modes of thinking drawn from two or more disciplines.
  • Produce an interdisciplinary understanding of a complex problem or intellectual question
  • Engage in experiential learning in prospective career or academic field by serving effectively in a semester long internship.
  • Demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills at levels required for effective performance in professional and other social or cultural contexts.
  • Demonstrate advanced communication skills (written, spoken, computer-assisted) at levels required for effective performance in professional and other social or cultural contexts

Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies Program Outcomes

Bachelor of Applied Science Program Outcomes

  • Identify and describe key organizational principles and will be able to analyze business situations in a critical manner from practice gained in progressive business problem-solving situations.
  • Recognize the legal and ethical considerations that impact business administration and will demonstrate their application in business problem-solving situations.
  • Identify key concepts necessary for career success in today’s global economy and will demonstrate their application in professional contexts.
  • Use information technology systems to achieve course requirements and to make solid business decisions.
  • Recognize and apply supervisory and management concepts at levels required for effective performance in professional contexts. 

Master of Arts in Liberal Studies Program Outcomes

  • Investigate and synthesize research data and ideas from interdisciplinary perspectives.
  • Integrate research methodologies from two or more disciplines in a research proposal.
  • Produce an interdisciplinary understanding of a complex problem or intellectual question.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the diverse social contexts in which the liberal studies are pursued and debated, including, but not limited to, political, historical, material, cultural, racial, ethnic, national and geographical contexts.
  • Demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills at levels required for effective performance in professional and other social or cultural contexts
  • Demonstrate advanced communication skills (written, spoken, computer-assisted) at levels required for effective performance in professional and other social or cultural contexts.
