Athletics Facilities
Clayton State University’s Athletics facilities support its 12 NCAA Division II championships sports programs in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, men’s and women’s indoor track & field and men’s and women’s outdoor track & field.
In the 25-year history of the program, Lakers student-athletes have produced 57 NCAA Tournament Appearances, 11 Peach Belt Conference Regular Season Championships, 14 PBC Tournament Titles and 54 All-Americans. Highlighting these performances is the 2010-11 women’s basketball program, which claimed the first NCAA Division II National Championship in program history.
Athletics facilities include its Athletics Center that contains its gym (approx. 14,500sf) with lobby, locker rooms and functional room (approx. 1,200sf) for special events. Laker Field is a full-sized (approx. 75 yds. X 120 yds.) soccer field that is lighted and can accommodate lacrosse and marching bands. In addition, there is a half field (approx. 60 yds. x 60 yds.) adjacent to Laker Field. Athletics facilities also include six lighted tennis courts.
