Asset Management
Asset Management responsibilities have been transferred to Department of Budget and Finance of Business and Operations division. It performs asset management and control of all fixed assets over $5,000 in value. The Budget and Finance department follows established policies and procedures associated with purchase, surplus, and reporting of capital assets. Responsible party in Facilities Management for property control and surplus of assets provides information on receiving, tagging and surplus of assets to Business Office.
The unit manages a fleet of twenty vehicles that serve technicians of the department and management staff. The Facilities Coordinator maintains records of gasoline consumption and mileage by Facilities’ vehicles, as well as nine of Public Safety vehicles. Fleet Management does not provide repair service to its fleet. Vehicles are sent to an ARI Insights mechanic, which is approved by the Board of Regents for maintenance. The Facilities Coordinator keeps track of reservations and readiness of two shuttle vehicles used by CSU employees. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for all data related to the Fleet Management Program utilizing DOAS software VITAL (Vehicle Information Tracking And Logistics)
