University Communications

The Office of Marketing and Communication oversees a variety of tools to manage our brand, and communicate to external and internal audiences. Listed below are communication channels and vehicles that are utilized, when appropriate, to reach important constituents. Do you have an event coming up and need to get the word out? Are you doing some interesting research that we can help promote? Do you have information you want campus to know about? Please let us know!

Social Media Consultation and Guidance

Social media is a tool for the dissemination of news and information about the University to students, parents, prospective students, alumni, faculty and staff, donors, members of the community, and news media. Stay connected via our social media channels.

Campus Community Emails

The university acknowledges that email is an efficient and cost-effective method for reaching internal audiences. However, members of the university community have expressed concerns about unsolicited, mass-distributed internal emails. Research indicates that the overuse of email messaging through all-university email groups undermines the effectiveness of delivering critical, time-sensitive information and decreases overall engagement.

As a result, the Office of Marketing and Communications will reserve mass email distribution exclusively for critical notifications, emergencies, and urgent calls-to-action. All other non-urgent communications should be placed on the Clayton State University intranet, LochNet.
