Work with Us

Team members of the Office of Marketing and Communications are stewards of the university brand, supporting initiatives and projects that align with the goals and mission of the university.

Project requests are evaluated to ensure availability of resources and develop a project timeline. Not all projects can be accommodated. If we are unable to provide services, we can recommend vetted freelancers. Please remember that some projects may require several weeks notice. We encourage you to plan ahead.

Due to changing technology, our new project management system is not compatible with Internet Explorer. If you use Internet Explorer, please use a different internet browser. Other browser options include Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

Your Loch ID account is used to grant access to various CSU services such as the wired network, wireless network, and qualtrics. It is used for the Marketing and Communications forms as well. Your Loch ID is generally in the format: first name initial + last name  [sometimes also a number]. Not sure of your Loch ID? Contact The Hub.

Marketing and Communications utilizes a variety of mediums such as a weekly e-newsletter, social media, and the newsroom to communicate with external and internal audiences.

We want to hear about your awards and achievements. Do you have an event coming up and need to get the word out? Are you conducting interesting research that we can help promote? Please submit a brief description/supporting information and our team will determine the best placement for maximum impact. For more information visit communications.

Graphic design is available for departments in need of creative services to produce materials that support the university’s strategic priorities and/or enrollment goals.

Turnaround time for design projects vary depending on the complexity of the project and the volume of scheduled projects in the queue. Marketing and Communications will provide the creative/artwork. You are responsible for coordinating printing and delivery of your materials with either campus Media and Print Services or an external vendor. Review our FAQs for additional information including estimated project time frames.

The designer will provide one round of revisions. While reviewing the first draft, you will have the opportunity to send the designer changes to the text and images. Please note any grammatical errors, typos or requested changes.

In order to expedite the process of reaching the final design, please review the draft and reply within five business days. Failure to respond quickly with edits may delay receipt of the final file. Projects may also be delayed if additional revisions are requested.

Graphic Design Request

Our primary mission centers on externally facing and consumer-focused video content to promote and enhance the brand of Clayton State University. All videography requests will be evaluated to ensure that they align with university strategic initiatives and our office’s objective to support institutional marketing and recruitment.

Any video created outside of the Office of Marketing and Communications that includes information about university programs, events, features university students/employees, or includes the official university logo or wordmark must be submitted for review by our team before it is shared publicly.

For new marketing videos, preproduction to post-production, can take up to 70 business days for completion. A creative brief will be finalized at the first preproduction meeting. For more information on videography.

The official university logos are legally protected trademarks appearing on official communications (online and print), partnerships and sponsorships. Usage of the logo must be approved by the Office of Marketing and Communications. Failure to abide by these guidelines may result in the need to reproduce materials at the cost of the unit or department who created such materials.

Clayton State University has four official marks—the Clayton State University logo, the Clayton State University wordmark, the university seal and athletic logo. The wordmark may be widely-used by the Clayton State community, while the university seal and athletic logos are approved for selective purposes.
