Clayton State University waives out-of-state tuition for South Carolina residents

(November 25, 2019) - Clayton State University announced it is offering out-of-state tuition waivers to residents of South Carolina, expanding affordable college education to even more students. This is the first-ever waiver for students from a border state the university has offered.

“We regularly receive inquiries from South Carolina residents interested in attending Clayton State due to our focus on experiential learning and close proximity to Atlanta,” said Dr. Stephen Schultheis, vice president of enrollment management and student success.

Beginning spring 2020, both undergraduate and graduate eligible students from South Carolina will be able to take advantage of the same Clayton State tuition costs available to in-state students.

Access to a variety of academic tracks, hands-on learning experiences with local employers in Georgia’s top industries and an inclusive environment focused on student achievement are just some of the benefits students applying to Clayton State University can expect from the public higher education institution.

“This waiver will provide the residents of South Carolina an opportunity to take advantage of our internship opportunities, competitive tuition and focus on student success while contributing to the enrollment of Clayton State University,” said Schultheis.
