Veterans Resource Services
Welcome Armed Forces Members & Families!
Making the transition from a military lifestyle to a civilian one can be very challenging at times even to the most hardcore career veteran. Here at the Veterans Resource Services (VRS) of Clayton State University, our mission is to make that transition easier. The VRS is a place for Veterans and Active Duty members alike to meet, get information, and just hang out and be themselves with like-minded individuals who understand the military culture and language. Knowing that transitioning back to a civilian lifestyle, including the campus lifestyle, can be a culture shock for some, the VRS staff is dedicated to providing resources, connections and support for all armed forces members and their families throughout their college career. The VRS operates as a “4-1-1“ location for information about services available on campus and in the local community.
Clayton State University faculty and staff are aware of the needs of our armed forces community and continue to learn about how to best serve this population. The establishment of the VRS is just one of the many ways Clayton State University is addressing those needs. As more and more of our American Heroes return to the classroom to complete their educational goals, the VRS will continue to grow and expand the services offered to meet their needs.
Make the Veterans Resource Center your first stop on campus and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow Armed Forces Members. One visit and the VRS is sure to become your new Base-of-Operation at Clayton State University.
