Women's Forum Scholarships
The Clayton State Women’s Forum offers the following three scholarship opportunities each year:
- Women’s Forum General Student Scholarship. One or more undergraduate female students will be awarded General Student Scholarships
to assist with educational expenses. The maximum amount a student may receive is $1,000,
but the amount awarded is dependent upon availability of funds and the number of qualified
applicants. Eligibility Requirements for Women’s Forum General Student Scholarship
- Currently enrolled Undergraduate female students
- who have completed a minimum of 12-15 credit hours at Clayton State
- and who have at least two semesters remaining before graduation (Graduate students and dual-enrolled students are not eligible for this scholarship.)
- Clayton State (Institutional) GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Convincing need for scholarship
- Complete an application form, including short essay
- Provide evidence of financial need such as childcare bill, predicted book expenses, Financial Aid Award Letter
- Submit all application materials by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016
- Currently enrolled Undergraduate female students
- Women’s Forum Student Success Emergency Scholarship. This scholarship is available for a student who is within two semesters of completing
her program and has a sudden emergency that would prevent her from continuing to attend
classes without some financial assistance. Please use the following chart to determine
eligibility to apply:
Expected Graduation Semesters When Application Accepted Fall Summer and Fall Spring Fall and Spring Summer Spring and Summer - Currently enrolled Undergraduate female students
- who have completed a minimum of 12-15 credit hours at Clayton State
- and have no more than two semesters remaining before graduation (Graduate students and dual-enrolled students are not eligible for this scholarship.)
- Clayton State (Institutional) GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Appropriate documentation of an emergency
- Complete an application form, including short essay
- Provide documentation of emergency (examples of emergencies include loss of income provided by family member, change in employment status, unexpected medical bills) Applications are accepted throughout the year, and the Scholarship Committee attempts to notify applicants of a decision within two weeks. Please note that the decision may or may not be made before fee payment deadlines.
- Currently enrolled Undergraduate female students
- Women’s Forum Endowed Scholarship. One or more undergraduate female students will be awarded the Women’s Forum Endowed Scholarship to assist with educational expenses, having completed at least one semester at the University and have at least two semesters remaining prior to graduation. The maximum amount a student may receive is $1,000, however, the amount awarded is dependent on availability of funds and amount requested. Eligibility Requirements for the Women’s Forum Endowed Scholarship
- EFC must be less than or equal to 20000
- Classification must be FR, SO, JR, or SE
- Must be a currently enrolled female
- Credit hours completed must be greater than 0
- Must have at least two semesters remaining
- GPA must be a 2.8 or higher
