Preserving CSU History
In continuing the preservation of Clayton State’s history of academic achievement and success, the 75th Anniversary Time Capsule Committee placed the call to Laker Nation for donations to the University's Time Capsule re-sealing. Our goal with the new time capsule was to preserve the present moment for future generations, as a deliberate method of communication through artifacts that illuminate the history of our institution.
During the 2019-2020 academic year we celebrated the University’s 50th Anniversary and unsealed the previous time capsule. This gave us the opportunity to reminisce about the past and reflect on how much our institution developed in the first 25 years after its inception. We want to create a new time capsule and fill it with items that further illustrate how much the institution has grown. The Committee asked the Clayton State Community: "25 years from now what do we want people to remember about our institution?"
