CSU Meal Share Program

The CSU Meal Share Program helps support students who are experiencing Food Insecurity.  Food Insecurity is defined by the USDA as "a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life."

Meal swipes from meal plans are donated by the campus community, and provided to qualifying students when available. Donations and requests are accepted during fall and spring semesters while the Lakeside Dining Hall is open.

*If you have a meal plan, you are not eligible to receive meal swipes from this program.

Donate a Meal

If you have a meal plan, you can donate meal swipes to support students with immediate food needs. Meals can be donated from any student block plan, Faculty/Staff plan, or from the guest meal allowance from semester plans (Platinum, Gold, or Silver).

Request a Meal

If you are in immediate need of a meal and don’t have an active meal plan, you are welcome to submit a request.  Upon completion of your request, someone from the Meal Share program will review your request and may authorize up to 3 meal swipes to be added to your LakerCard for use at the Lakeside Dining Hall.  Approval and assignment is based upon need and availability of donated meals.

Please note: Only currently-enrolled students are eligible for the Meal Share program.  Students may receive (based on availability and eligibility) up to 3 meal swipes per semester.
