Georgia HERO Scholarship Program 

If eligible, the Georgia HERO (Helping Educate Reservists and Their Offspring) Scholarship can provide financial aid to qualifying Georgia National Guard or United States military reservists who served in combat zones and their spouses, and dependent children who seek a postsecondary education. The maximum amount awarded to an eligible student is $2000 per award year and is subject to change during the award year.

The maximum benefit is four award years for a total not to exceed $8000. If eligible, please complete Part A of the application and submit to the Office of Financial Aid along with the required documents. The Office of Financial Aid will complete Part B of the application and forward the completed application and required documents to Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) for processing. The scholarship awards on a first-come, first-served basis and as appropriate funds are available.
