Social Sciences Student Organizations
Enhance your learning experience and meet other students by participating in several student organizations.
Lambda Epsilon Chi – LEX
The Clayton State University Legal Studies Program maintains a chapter of the Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) national honor society. LEX recognizes students who demonstrate superior academic performance in an established program of paralegal and law-related studies. LEX derives from the Latin root meaning “pertaining to the law” or “legal.” Every year, the Clayton State chapter of LEX may honor a select group of high-achieving students by inducting them into this prestigious honor society.
Pi Sigma Alpha – PSA
The Political Science Program at Clayton State University oversees membership in the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society. Pi Sigma Alpha seeks to promote excellence in the field of Political Science and seeks to recognize students that demonstrate a high level of academic rigor in their studies of government and politics. Every Spring semester, the Clayton State Alpha Zeta Chi chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha inducts those students whose academic achievements meet the criteria for membership into this meritorious honor society. Membership in Pi Sigma Alpha provides students access to a range of benefits, including opportunity to publish in an undergraduate research journal, scholarships for graduate study, study grants, internships, and various other leadership opportunities.
