Services Offered
What Services are offered through OCR?
The Office of Conflict Resolution Provides Four Main Services
- Consultation, Referral, and Intake - The Ombuds and the party or parties involved can meet to review the issue(s) and explore options for resolution.
- Facilitated Discussion - This process offers an opportunity for a trained facilitator to assist the parties in communication.
- Mediation - This is a confidential process in which a neutral third-party facilitator helps parties discuss issues and negotiate an agreement. Parties in mediation create their own solutions and the mediator does not have any decision-making power over the outcome. The process fosters understanding, cooperation, and agreements that are acceptable to all parties.
