Dr. Peter Fitzpatrick
Dr. Peter Fitzpatrick received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. John’s University, a master’s degree from Long Island University and a master’s degree and doctoral degree from Columbia University.
Bachelor of Science Chemistry
Tiffany Barker is a 2019 candidate for the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with minors in physics and forensic science. The Macon, Georgia native has appeared on the Dean’s List seven times, and she is the recipient of two institutional awards: the Lane-Dobbs Annual Scholarship for high-achieving STEM majors and the Allan and Elizabeth Marshall Scholarship for non-traditional students.
Barker has taken an active role in supporting the academic success of her peers serving as the Supplemental Instruction leader for two chemistry courses since May of 2017. Her college career has also been marked by her membership in a number of student organizations including the National Society for Leadership and Success, Golden Key International Honor Society and Clayton State University Honor Student Association.
Upon graduation, Barker wants to pursue a graduate degree in hopes of fulfilling her ultimate goal of earning a Ph.D. in chemistry and teaching at the university level.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Jamila Rumph is a 2019 candidate for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The Byron, Georgia native was named to the spring 2019 Dean’s List and is the recipient of the national Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship for female students pursuing degrees in health fields.
While working on her degree, Rumph has maintained memberships with the Student Nurses Association and the ETA chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. And as a nursing student, she has conducted clinical work at several healthcare organizations across metro Atlanta including Piedmont Henry Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Egleston Hospital and Crescent Pines Hospital.
After graduation, Rumph will work at Emory Healthcare as a Labor and Delivery RN resident. In the next two years, she plans to enroll in Clayton State’s graduate nursing program to become a family nurse practitioner.
