Psychology Student Awards
Student awards recognize scholars who have achieved academic excellence and have demonstrated leadership in their chosen fields.
All of the following awards require an institutional GPA of 3.2 or better, senior status, and nomination by one or more faculty members. These awards will be presented at the Arts and Sciences Honors Convocation on an annual basis.
Donna W. McCarty Psychology and Human Services Award
This award goes to the senior in Psychology and Human Services who demonstrates broad excellence in and commitment to the disciplines of psychology and human services. The student has an exceptionally high overall GPA and extensive participation in the field through participation in extracurricular activities. Campus and volunteer activities are important along with academic strength.
Undergraduate Research Award
This award goes to the senior in Psychology and Human Services who exhibited the curiosity, aptitude, and perseverance necessary for success in research endeavors. This student should have participated in research opportunities and excelled in PSYC 2105 and 3560.
Psychology and Human Services Ambassador Awards
This award goes to the student or students who demonstrate academic excellence and enthusiasm and passion for the field of Psychology and Human Services.
