Library COVID-19 Mask Wearing and Social Distancing Policy

Clayton State University Library upholds the right of our patrons to study and do research in a safe environment in accordance with our Library Code of Conduct, rules established by the University and University System of Georgia (USG), and Undergraduate and Graduate Code of Conduct.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the University System of Georgia continually issues new guidance concerning face coverings and social distancing for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. Based on this guidance, the following updates have been made to COVID-19 related protocols on campus. Please take a moment to review the following information before visiting the library.

Face Coverings

Effective March 14, 2022, the USG encourages masks based on preference and assessment of personal risk.

The University System of Georgia (USG) continues to recognize COVID-19 vaccines and boosters offer safe, effective protection and urges all students, faculty, staff and visitors to get vaccinated and/or boosted either on campus or with a local provider. As USG works closely with the Georgia Department of Public Health to prioritize the health and safety of campus communities, the system encourages people to wear masks based on their preference and assessment of personal risk.

Physical Distancing

Effective July 30, 2021, fully vaccinated individuals can resume campus classes and other activities without physically distancing. Unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to continue socially distancing from others when possible.

Additional information about campus COVID-19 policies are on the CSU website.

Note: The COVID-19 pandemic is still active. This guidance is subject to change based on recommendations from the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, Center for Disease Control, the Department of Public Health or Executive Orders from the Governor’s office.
