How to Register
Ready to join the Laker family? Here's how to register for orientation:
- Gather your info:
- start term
- program type
- student type
- Laker ID (900XXXXXX)
- Visit the Dates and Fees page, select the tab for your admission term.
- Review the available sessions for your student and program type. Learn more about orientation eligibility.
- Click "Register Now" and complete the event registration form. Guest fees are due at registration, while the mandatory $100 fee is paid later when you submit your orientation quiz. Bringing guests is optional.

Important Reminders
Clayton State's New Student Orientation is exclusively for newly admitted students
and is designed to help you connect with your peers and engage with campus representatives
based on your enrollment needs.
- Already applied but not admitted? Check your application status and complete your admissions file.
- Admitted as a graduate student or dual enrollment student?
- Graduate students receive program-specific new student information in their student email.
- Dual Enrollment students should complete orientation through the link provided on the Dual Enrollment Checklist.
- Haven't applied? Learn about the requirements for your student type then submit your application to begin the admissions process.
- Have questions? We're here to help! Contact us.
- Double-check your orientation eligibility to avoid cancellations or registration errors.
- Orientation registration is only open to newly admitted freshman, transfer, and nontraditional undergraduate students.
- Transient students, post-baccalaureate students, readmitted students, and students in certificate programs are not required to complete orientation.
- Dual Enrollment students and graduate students have separate orientation requirements.
- Check your email regularly. Once registered, you'll receive a confirmation email. This email will contain:
- Links to the orientation modules and the orientation completion quiz. You will pay your $100 orientation fee when you submit your quiz.
- Event details and next steps (for students registered for an on-campus session)
- Don't know your Laker ID? Look it up here.You'll need it to submit your quiz.
- Follow the Step-by-Step Instructions linked above to ensure you've completed the necessary steps to finish your orientation.
